Marco Franceschini – ESR 1 @UNIVIE

Marco Franceschini was born in Venice, Italy, in 1995. He graduated in Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Padua in 2019, working on the synthesis of new cancer therapeutic agents under the supervision of Prof. Giovanni Marzaro. Later, he joined Prof. Andrea Mattarei’s group at the University of Padua for one year, to work on synthesis of psilocybin analogues for treatment-resistant depression as a research fellow.
Following his passion for chemistry and multidisciplinary topics, in 2020 he joined the STiBNite project as a Ph.D. student in Prof. Bonifazi’s group in Vienna, where he works on synthesis of BN-doped organic semiconductors.
