Laura Caputo – ESR 6 @UCLouvain
Laura Caputo was born in Naples (Italy) in 1996. She obtained her BSc degree in Chemistry at the University of Naples ‘Federico II’ with a thesis called ‘Ab initio Study of Anchoring Groups for CuGaO2 Delafossite-Based p-Type Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells’. In October 2020, she obtained her MSc in Chemical Sciences at the same university with a thesis on quantum-mechanical modeling of YBCO-based Josephson junctions for qubit applications. In January 2021, she joined the Institute of Condensed Matter and Nanosciences at the University of Louvain (Belgium) to start her Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Jean-Christophe Charlier. Her research concerns prediction of structural, electronic, optical and transport properties of BN-doped carbon-based 2D materials using state-of-the-art ab initio techniques.
