Birce Sena Tömekçe – ESR 8 @TUM

After receiving her bachelor degree in physics at Koç University in 2017, Sena joined nanoscience and nanoengineering master program at the Istanbul Technical University. For her thesis studies, she worked in the Nanoscale Surface Science Laboratory, where she used STM/STS techniques to investigate electronic properties of moiré patterns on HOPG surface. In STiBNite project, her main task is to achieve on-surface synthesis of BNC-2D materials. In addition, she will perform atomic scale characterization of electronic and geometric properties of the aforementioned BNC architectures.
